🔗 Share this article The New Animated Series' Introductory Sequence Chose the Wrong Critical Role Track The Mighty Nein, the newest animated series by Critical Role, unveiled an exciting introductory sequence. It features the beloved cast of misfits, misfits, and rogues fighting hard and making their mark, while teasing at several heart-wrenching personal histories for characters such as the voice actor's mage Caleb, and Travis Willingham's warlock orc, the character Fjord. All in all, the opening looks amazing. But I couldn't help feeling that something was missing in the song choice. This sequence employs "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional song created by artist Colm McGuinness. This piece from the official score of that title, the second one released by Critical Role Productions LLC's record label Scanlan Shorthalt Music. It's a wonderful sentimental option, and I suspect that devotees of the sequel series will appreciate its presence. But for me, The series' intro doesn't quite capture the hype and excitement that was part of the second campaign's live-play sessions. "It's Your Turn", composed by musician the artist, became an immediate hit in my view when it was initially unveiled in that year, and it only got better when cast member Sam Riegel added lyrics to the melody for the animated Campaign 2 opening in the later year. Including singing from one actress, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, as well as the writer, the song was catchy and fun. Back then, I hadn't seen the follow-up series yet, but this was such an earworm that I still saved it on my phone. This track that knows how to get you pumped before you dive into an installment of adventurous fun. The Mighty Nein's intro with "Welcome to Wildemount" fails to hit the right notes for me. It's an impressive piece of music, but from what I know of this party, I can't help but feel that its tone is a little off. Of course, the creators has already said that the series will have a few changes and variations from the original live sessions. An adjusted mood for its opening appears as among these. The Mighty Nein will be released on the streaming service from Nov. 19. For those eager until then, or want a head start to learn about the personas of the second series, the actual play are available on Spotify and the video site.
