On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned communication data and evidence obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during that period.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most covered investigations and remains unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One phone message, shared in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm overweight and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Suppose there is a slight possibility that I'm her? What then? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a life here in Poland, I only wish to understand," she added.

The panel was told that via emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with the police force who compiled the information, told the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore communicated with acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, the father responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my point."

The court learned Mrs Spragg developed a relationship online with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' property in the county in December 2024.

Phone records demonstrated Mrs Spragg had reached out through communication app to Mrs McCann to state the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she ought to be treated respectfully in the period leading up to the visit to Rothley, the county, in last December.

The court was told message exchanges between the two individuals, in November 2024, considering attempting to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from silverware at a restaurant.
